Spaghetti with Bacon
This week has been quite the kitchen week for me! It is wonderful to actually have time to start cooking ---- and not just in the microwave. Brian tried to get started on the meal since I was running late coming home from tutoring. When I got home, he had the spaghetti, marinara sauce, bacon, and a bag of frozen peas on the counter. He didn't look too excited! Luckily, the recipe wasn't our typical spaghetti recipe! I used my Best of Cooking Light to make spaghetti with a white sauce (basically milk, eggs, minced garlic, and parmasean cheese). I then mixed in fried bacon pieces and peas. I thought the recipe called for too much pepper. (Maybe it's a pregnancy thing because pepper and I don't seem to get along too well these days!) It made for easy leftovers and actually tasted about the same when reheated.
